My name is Layla Smith 

I'm a Sophomore biology Major on the Pre-Medicinal track at Howard University and a double minor in Chemistry and Psychology, I've lived all over the Mid-West most of my life. From Kansas City, Chicago, St Louis, then back to Kansas City. Moving a lot has made me want to learn more about the social and community aspect of medicine. One of my interests is doing more research related to the biopsychosocial model. As I continue on the pre-med track, I want to eventually pursue a career in genetic counseling and research.
