Basic Life Support
I achieved my Basic Life Support Certificate over a 3 day period at Central Jackson County Fire Protection District in Kansas City, MO. My certification includes cardiopulmonary respiration (CPR), usage in automated external defibrillator (AED), and relieving airway obstructions.
Stop The Bleed
At North Kansas City Hospital, I was recognized by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma for my completion of their Stop The Bleed Course. In this course I was taught how to successful stop a wound from bleeding using dressings, tunicate use, and use of splints.
Personal Protective Equipment
Personal protective equipment also called PPE is very important in the medical field. By completing my certification of PPE training, I now know how to effectively minimize my exposure to hazardous objects and biohazards that may cause the spread of illnesses and disease in the work place.
